Important Notice:
Invitations sent from private sites are no longer supported. If you have a private site you will need to change the site permissions settings to make the site public so that invited users can join. Once members have joined, the site can be made private again.

How do I invite others to join?

To invite others to join your community, make sure that you are signed in to the wiki and click the 'Invite' link at the top of the page.

Invite People dialog

If you are not signed in to the wiki, you will be asked to sign in and then you will then have the opportunity to customize the invitation email on the following screen.

  • Enter Your name so the recipient knows who is inviting them
  • Import email addresses. You can even automatically add any email addresses you have saved in Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, and Hotmail.
  • Add a personal message to make the invitation personal, and you'll have people visiting in no time.
  • Specify what the user(s) can do on the site in the "These users can:" section
  • Fill in the CAPTCHA so we know you are a real live human and not an evil spam computer.

What to do if the invitation is not received

If the recipient is not receiving an invitation, have them add 'invite@wetpaintmail.com' to their address book or safe list. If they are still having trouble receiving the invite they may want to give you an alternate email address to send the invite to, or contact their email provider to see if they are preventing the message from being delivered.

Accepting an Invitation

When you receive the email invitation there will be a link in it that will take you to the site. You will see two options as highlighted in red in the image below:
