If I have to make a site public to invite people, that defeats the intent to be a private site. Why can't I simply add the people to the site from inside?

Why can't I invite people to my private site anymore? I'm not allowed to have it public, as it's a game related site and people are only supposed to be able to use it if they ask me in-game...

Neither of these two options appear when I try to "invite" The box looks the same as your example about but there's no CAPTCHA that appears or the specify what these users can do section...
Specify what the user(s) can do on the site in the "These users can:" section Fill in the CAPTCHA so we know you are a real live human and not an evil spam computer. |
