One easy way to begin growing your site is to invite friends to visit and help you. Think of all the friends and family you have that might find the site interesting or want to help out. Then invite them to your site.

Wetpaint has a simple way to do this: just click the "Invite" link in the wiki global navigation and you're on your way.

If you are not signed in to the wiki, you will be asked to sign in and then you will then have the opportunity to customize the invitation email on the following screen.

  • Enter your name in the From field so the recipient knows who is inviting them
  • Add email addresses. You can even automatically add any email addresses you have saved in Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, and Hotmail using the "import email addresses" link.
  • Add a personal message to make the invitation personal, and you'll have people visiting in no time.
  • Type in the two words in the CAPTCHA so we know you are a real live human.
  • Don't forget to click the Send Invitation button!

Once people start to arrive, it's a good idea to welcome them personally by leaving messages on their profile pages.

The Contributing Guide has lots of other ideas about getting people involved once they arrive on the site.

One person who has a WetPaint acct & is on other wikis can't gain access to my most current wiki, RCWP TIC-Wik. Any idea what the problrm might be?

i want more people to join my site~

and my friend's site~

but i don't know anyone's E-mail addresses that are on wetpaint.and every time i send them a personal invitation i get in trouble with the mods form the site that i told them on because they tell me "advertising is not allowed on this site".anyone know how i can get more members without getting in trouble?

I have sent the invites, but they are being blocked (or that is my guess). Is there a way to create an invite and paste the link into a regular email - thus bypassing the filters. I know the ideal is to fix the filters, but that may take time.
