Invite Friends
Note: The invite feature is not available if your site is set to the private permissions setting.
One easy way to begin growing your site is to invite friends to visit and help you. Think of all the friends and family you have that might find the site interesting or want to help out. Then invite them to your site.
Wetpaint has a simple way to do this: just click the "Invite" link in the wiki global navigation and you're on your way.
If you are not signed in to the wiki, you will be asked to sign in and then you will then have the opportunity to customize the invitation email on the following screen.

- Enter your name in the From field so the recipient knows who is inviting them
- Add email addresses. You can even automatically add any email addresses you have saved in Gmail, Outlook, Yahoo! Mail, AOL, and Hotmail using the "import email addresses" link.
- Add a personal message to make the invitation personal, and you'll have people visiting in no time.
- Type in the two words in the CAPTCHA so we know you are a real live human.
- Don't forget to click the Send Invitation button!
Once people start to arrive, it's a good idea to welcome them personally by leaving messages on their profile pages. The Contributing Guide has lots of other ideas about getting people involved once they arrive on the site. Happy recruiting and good luck! |

I am moderator of an invite required site. When I send out an invite, i do not get the CAPTCHA box appear (which I think is OK for moderator level users?) however no email is received. I ahve triend quite a few addresses, most without firewalls, and they are not ending up in spam/junk folders.
what is strange is taht i have sent out some previously which worked OK - this may have been when at "writer" status before moderator. Doesn;t look like I'm the first to be having trouble with invites either.... |

I can't get my invitations to send! None of my recipients are getting them now. When I first started my site I had no problem, now no one is getting them. What do I do??
