This is a wonderful site, but I am disappointed not only about its lack of an export feature, but also how the subject is downplayed.
The question Wetpaint posed was "an I export or backup content from my Wetpaint site?" and instead of just saying "NO!", the subject is converted into a reliability one (we have never lost a site). Perhaps I am misunderstanding this issue, but I would love to have the ability to take my data elsewhere (It´s not a matter of planning to do so, just being ABLE to do so). I have been reluctant to invest in putting content in because of this... |

Your tool is very cool. However, I would like the ability to export my site and be able to run it on my own server if needed. SImilar to the way WordPress allows users to export their blog to post on their own server. Is this or could this be possible??

I would love to be able to take my content on the run, and work on it without internet access.
I think the import/export tools of TiddlyWiki (http://www.tiddlywiki.com) would be great, because the ability to sync only the things you would want to post publicly is already built in. |
