How do I add music?

You can add music player to a page. You can add a single song, use a preexisting Playlist, or create your own Playlist. For more information on how to use music from Imeem, visit their FAQ.

  1. To add a music player to a page, click on the "EasyEdit" button and the toolbar will appear.

  2. Place your cursor where you'd like to display your music player, and click on the "Widget" button in the Toolbar.

The "Add Widget" dialog will appear.

  3. Music Player - Wetpaint Central Select the Imeem Music widget. The "Add Player" dialog will appear.
  4. Select your music and enter the code to "embed in your blog, website, etc" from Imeem into the open text field and click "Add Imeem Music."
  5. After you've added your music, an "Edit Player" dialog will appear. You can change the size of your player by using the (-) or (+) options. You can also change where your player appears in relationship to the copy on the page by using the layout icons. When you're satisfied with the size and layout of your player image, click on the "Done" button.

It is best not to resize the Imeem Music player. The features are easier to use and more visible if you leave the widget the original size.

Note: You cannot view a widget while editing a page; at that time, you will see a placeholder icon that represents your widget. Your widget will be viewable after you save the page.

My website deals with mountain lions. Is there a way to add different audio sounds of their varying cries along with the meaning of those cries? I vision a page with a description of the type of cougar cry with its meaning where viewers could click on it to hear what particular cry sounds like.

I am now very angry with Imeem music. I have my own radio show, and I upload it to Imeem. Well, when you embed it onto your wiki, or any web page for that matter, it plays 30 seconds of it and tells you to sign up on Imeem & listen there for the rest.

I do not think Imeem should be on the widgets menu for Wetpaint anymore, because it has taken away the whole point of itself: putting music on your web page.
Now, Wetpaint, please read my request, because this is merely advertising them, for us to get 30 seconds of a song, and forced to sign up for the rest. And we put it there for our visitors to listen to. They don't want to sign up, and not even be able to listen to it on our wikis.

For users who need alternatives, here are two you can use:

•Add music to your wiki

http://sharemusic.com/
•Upload Your Own Music
