Try advertising your site on Wetpaint Classified Ads. This can get you some members. On WCA, you can post a thread about your site, and it will be posted on pages. When people see your ad, they may join.

In the top right hand corner, there is something called My Wetpaint. Click it, and type in Key words to your friends site in the Search a Site bar. This should help you find the site.

hi, i don't work for wetpaint or anything like that but i'm not new here, i've been on wetpaint for almost 3 years and i think i can help.
to add advertisements you can add a thread on another site's homepage but unfortunately sometimes you may get banned. another way is to go to go to your profile on a different site and under 'messages' there should be a button that says 'compose message' click it and send a message to the creator asking to add a link to your site on their site you list your url. the creators of the sites you do this to are more likely to add your link if you agree to add their link to your site
