What does 'hacked account' mean? When someone says their account has been 'hacked' it generally means that someone else has gained access to their account without their knowledge or permission. The hacker may be doing this as a prank or for more malicious reasons.	How does an account get hacked? Your account is more likely to be hacked if one or more of the following are true: Your account has a weak password that is easy to guess You share your password with someone else You share a computer and forget to sign out of your account before leaving the computer
What to do DON'T share your password with anyone. Change your password - If you believe your username account has been compromised or "hacked", change your password immediately. If you can't sign in because your password has been changed, use the "forgot your password" feature to email yourself a link to reset the password. Use a secure password - The best way to avoid the frustration and embarrassment of having your account hacked is to use a secure password and never ever tell anyone what it is. A secure password should use a combination of UPPER and lowercase letters, numbers, and non-alphanumeric characters such as %, _, &, $, etc. Also, change your password periodically just to be on the safe side. A couple weeks ago my mods went to sleep and when we all woke up we notice that the site was hacked! We know who it is because he was stupid enough to put this is Narutorox. He is from Naruto94 and has hacked my website because first of all he is jealous that I have 1000 + and have great mods. This guy has also almost destroyed another wetpaint site too. SOMEONE HACKED MY SITE!!!!

my site is truewarriorcats5.wetpaint.com and i think someone hacked 2 of the admins of the site's accounts(swiftnose4 and fieceheart22). they went around and demoted all the moderators+ except for the 2 that they were using to hack with and all the writers but one to registered user(under username swiftnose4), then deleted everything off the main/important pages(under username fierceheart22). i know personally(in real life) the two members and trust them, and they would NEVER do that. can my site and all the member ranks be restored??!?! help please(quickly) before more pages get hacked!!

Someone hacked my friends account his name is Alex1223 we were on the website warriorspride.wetpaint.com first they deleted everything and then we moved to darkfroestwarriors.wetpaint.com then people started harrasing Alex and sending him and everyone on the site with hacking and death threating messages. We tried to contact authorties but they didnt do anything yet. then they hacked his account and deleted everything again after we worked hard to reastore it. we moved AGAIN to darkforstwarriors2.wetpaint.com and now they deleted stuff on that site to. I locked all the pages on Wp and the original Dfw that seems to work for now but they wont stop with the messages and threads. Pease do something about it soon
