| Anonymous | These are users that want to stay anonymous and don't want to be known. They don't have a username and they can leave comments on some sites. |

| Ban | Banned users can no longer sign in to a site that they have been banned on. |
| Bug | A bug is typically some kind of glitch, flaw, or error in the code that causes an outcome that is different than what is intended by the software design. |
| Browser | A web browser is a software application which enables a user to display and interact with text, images, videos, music, games and other information typically located on a web page at a website on the Internet. |
| Cache | memory is extremely fast memory that is built into a computer’s central processing unit |
| Cookie | Piece of information stored on a computer. Cookies come from a website visited. |
| Creator | Creators are the original builders of the site. They have full permissions, including the ability to view all reports, modify all pages, and adjust the site properties to change the look of the site. |
| Discussion Forum | A forum is basically a place where the community can communicate publicly on the site. |
| EasyEdit | This is a button that allows users to edit pages on a site. |
| Gabbly | A widget used in order to paste a chat room on a page. Users can chat through this system. |
| ImeemFlaming | A flame is basically an insult of any kind. |
| Imeem | A widget used to post music on a page. You can listen to music from the widget once it is posted on the page. |
| IP address | An Internet Protocol (IP) address is a numerical identification (logical address) that is assigned to devices participating in a computer network |
| IP banning | IP banning prevents the connection between a server/website and certain IP addresses or ranges of addresses. IP blocking effectively bans undesired connections from those computers to the Wetpaint network. |
| Invitations | This tool allows users to invite people to join a site through email. |
| Meebo | A widget used when you want site users to instant message you through the Meebo web site. |
| Moderator | a person who is granted special abilities to enforce the rules on an online discussion forum. On Wetpaint wikis, a moderator's authority extends to the entire site. |
| Permissions | On Wetpaint, there are different ranks on a site. On a site, there is anonymous, registered users, writers, moderators, administrators, and the creator. With each rank, comes a different responsibility. |
| Photobucket Slideshow | A widget used to add images from photobucket to a slideshow of pictures. |
| Private Site | This Permission setting only allows users on by invite. |
| Public Site | This Permission setting always any user to join your site, invite or not. |
| Registered Users | A registered user is someone that has created a username account and joined a Wetpaint site. Depending on the site permissions settings a registered user may be able to edit pages, add images, and post or reply to threaded discussions.

| Thread | The system used on Wetpaint for posting comments under pages. A thread is part of the wiki forum. |
| Troll | Someone who purposely joins an online community to cause problems and to irritate other users is often referred to as a "troll". |
| URL | A URL is a Uniform Resource Locator. This identifies the location or address of your site on the web. Ex) http://www.wetpaint.com is the URL of the Wetpaint homepage. |
| Video Gallery | The Video Gallery is the central area on your site to organize and share YouTube videos with others. |
| Vizu | A widget that allows you to make and paste polls created through Vizu. |
| Widget | An item to put on a wiki or page that has an HTML or embeded code and is powered by Adobe Flash Player. |
| Wiki | A wiki is a collection of Web pages designed to enable anyone with access to contribute to or modify the content. |
| Writer | Writers can edit or add pages, add images, and join discussions. |
