The following examples are here to help give you ideas on how to build your site description and site name. For more tips, visit the Site Name and Description recommendation page.

Site Name Examples:

For Hello Kitty Universe, the site name is simply "Hello Kitty."
For Miley Cyrus Lovers, the site name is simply "Miley Cyrus Lovers."
For American Gladiators Fans, the site name is simply "American Gladiators."

Reasons we like these descriptions:
1.) They are short and to the point.
2.) They contain one or two keywords that describe the main subject of the site.
3.) They don't include unnecessary words like "The ____ website"

Site Description Examples:

Example 1: WikiFido Site

For WikiFido, the site description is: "Site completely focused on dogs. Connect with fellow dog lovers by sharing dog pics, breed info, training tips, grooming ideas, and dog rescue information."
Reasons this description rules:
1.) New visitors quickly understand what the site is about.
2.) The most important keywords ("dog", "dogs") have been included a couple times but weren't over stuffed.
3.) The description falls within the 2-3 sentence recommendation.

Example 2: Fuse TV Music Artist Wiki

Reasons this homepage rules:
1.) The creator immediately tells visitors what he/she wants them to do on the site.
2.) Under "Top Posters" this homepage gives a shout-out to good contributors. You can also feature people's avatars on the homepage if they are doing a good job on the wiki.
3.) People like to click on photos, and this wiki uses both photos and text to direct visitors to their favorite bands.
