Q. Can I delete the site or account I’ve created?

A. The short answer is no. The Wetpaint interface does not currently provide a delete site or account option. However, Wetpaint may periodically do housekeeping to delete inactive sites. If you have posted content on your site you do not wish to be publicly viewed, we recommend that you edit the pages to remove the content or, if you are a site creator or moderator, you can delete an entire page using the "More Tools" option on the top of the page.

Canceling Membership

You can cancel membership to any Wetpaint site you have created or joined via an option on your account profile page. Canceling your membership will remove you from the site user list and unsubscribe you from all associated email messages for the site. To cancel membership for a site, follow these steps:
  1. Sign in to your account on the site
  2. Click on 'My Profile' near the upper right corner of the site and click on the link to your 'Profile'
  3. Click on the “Cancel Membership” link on your profile page

  4. Confirm by clicking the Cancel Membership button
Note: Canceling membership to a site will not delete the site.

If you want to go to another site that you are a member of, click on the "My Wetpaint" link on the silver network bar in the upper right corner of the page. Or, if you want to start a new site go to www.wetpaint.com/wiki.

Your Wetpaint account provides you access to a large number of communities, so you can use it to visit thousands of other Wetpaint sites. There is no obligation to use the account, and our privacy policy ensures your information will never be shared with anyone else.

Do NOT post a thread requesting that your site or account be deleted.
Please follow the above instructions.

I created a site, where I managed to somehow cancel myself as the moderator! I have read the reviews and know that I can't cancel a site, but that I could make one of my sites private so no one could see it, thus not confusing any potential customers looking for it. Long story short I was not able to make the site "private" as I no longer have moderator access to my own site! Can someone help? The site is www.phoenixdesignconsultants.wetapint.com. - Can someone make this private only, or change my status back? The site I want to use is www.phoenixdesign.wetapint.com

I did some site as private and I deleted my member account from that site by misunderstanding the instruction.
( I don't mean that the instruction is not good but I was new at that time and fluctuated with wiki as well as my English is not really good.)
Is that possible for me to get that site back?

I hope you can help me to recovery my site and I can access it.

I made a mistake creating 2 personal use sites under my kids' school account name. I did sign in Wetpaint site to browse my kids' school site, and accidently created my personal use of 2 sites under school account. I forgot to change signing in to my personal account before I created the URL. Those URLs are "http://taad.wetpaint.com" and "http://hyfurniture.wetpaint.com". I really need to delete these two URLs ASAP. If you can't delete these two sites, can you transfer these sites to under my personal account? My personal account user name is "wonjshim". Thanks!!!
