How do I delete a thread?

Note: Threads and posts on a Wetpaint site can be deleted by moderators, administrators, and site creators only.

Delete an entire Thread

  1. Make sure you are signed in and navigate to the thread by clicking on its title.
    Select a Thread
  2. Click on the "Moderator Tools" link and then select "Delete Thread" from the drop down menu.

  3. Click "Delete" on the dialog to confirm the deletion of the thread.

Delete an individual post in a Thread

  1. To delete an individual response to a post, scroll to the specific response and click "delete this reply". Delete Thread or Post - Wetpaint Central
  2. Click "Delete" on the dialog to confirm the deletion.

Please use discretion when deleting a post or thread and only remove those that you find truly unacceptable. The site works best when many opinions are shared!
Note: If a thread is full of spam, and you do not want it clogging up your Site Updates, it would help to delete the replies before the thread is deleted. This will erase it from the Site Updates on your wiki.

Where do you go if you need to find out who deleted a thread and how to undelete that thread?

I've deleted a thread as a monitor back in the summer following the directions here, but when students subscribe through igoogle to the site satellite or wiretap the thread still shows up. Is there any way to refresh/remove that? When you click on the link it shows the thread removed, but I'd like it not to show up at all.
