RE: Delete Version
No, not a bug. When you have a wiki site, you may have more than one person that can delete page versions. It's important to have some record of what was deleted by who and when.

Can't delete one page.
http://wikinrete.wetpaint.com/page/Chat
I've created a page where I placed both Meebo and Gabbly widgets, now only the Gabbly widget shows up and everything disappeared in the left and right columns.
I wanted to delete the page but the "easy edit" in that page doesn't work.
Could you help me?
Thanks,
Gianna

Revert to old version
I was trying to update a site, and almost all of the information was deleted...but I didn't realize it until I saved. Is there any way I can revert back to the old version?!?

RE: deleting old content
If you delete the content on a page, you can only get it back from reverting it to the previous version. This can only be done by Moderators and up. As for deleting the page, you can restore it by going to the Page Toolbox and selecting Restore. Once again, this can only be done by Moderators. The information on that page will not be shown unless it is Restored.

Search engines find back-level and deleted pages
I don't know if this is a bug or a suggestion, but I've noticed from sitemeter that people have been entering my site via search engines picking up old versions of pages I've deleted (I deleted these pages when reorganizing the board and condensed the content onto other pages). Anyway, when I clicked on the link that came up in the search, there was no indication at all that it was a back-level page.
Maybe there's nothing you can do about the search engines finding these pages - I don't know - but what I tried to do was add a comment on the deleted page to direct anybody who gets there to the location of the current page. Instead, the comment only showed up on the "current version" of the page, which is the "deleted" page that nobody can see.
FYI, this is the page that showed up in a Yahoo search:

Page edit deletes "other widgets" from
I have experienced this problem a few times: I edit certain pages containing functioning "other widgets." When I save my changes, the "other widgets" on that page are deleted by wetpaint ( not by me.) I can revert to the previous page version to restore the "other widgets", but I cannot edit those pages without losing the functioning widgets. The "other widgets" I typically use (and are losing) are Picasaweb embedded slideshow gadgets. This problem seems to occur only on pages that were previously edited by one of my moderators, where he has added a widget and made textual changes. I do not experience this problem on pages where I was the last person to edited the page.
Other relevant data: I'm using Firefox ver 2. I am the creator/admin of this wiki. I don't know what browser my moderator is using.
I spent a few moments in Help & Discussion Forums trying to find an answer, but have given up. If there is a thread, please send me that link. Thanks!

RE: Editing a long page
"This problem keeps re-occuring. Scrolling down does not work because only part of the page appears inside the edit frame. The rest of the text is visible in greyed out form but cannot be edited." What page is this issue on? Can you clarify which text is grayed out and cannot be edited? What browser version are you using?

Pages not saving edits
My wiki is : http://ftfc.wetpaint.com/ I am using FireFox as my browser and my OS is Vista
I have had my wiki for months now using that browser and OS and have had no problems until this evening. I was trying to edit a page in a section of my wiki. I put the text on the page, the video, button pics and links connected to them. Went to save the edit. It saved just fine. Then when I went to lock the page it deleted all my edits. I went through it a second time and the same thing happened only this time when I went to save it gave me the do you want to overwrite previous info message saying the page was updated or updating. I overwrote it. It looked fine but when I went to lock it again the same thing happened and it got deleted. What is happening? and how can I fix it? Also at the bottom of the page it isn't recording the last update properly either. It just shows the date the page was created.

Swap in of new Home Page
Hello All, I want to upgrade my Home Page but would 1st like to build the new page as a separate page and when I am happy with it, I would like to swap it in for the existing home page.
This way the users don't see the home page under construction but just get a brand new page when I swap in the new revised version.
Is there a way to do this - Can I rename the exising Home Page to Old Home Page & then rename the new page to Home Page?

Cannot save changes to page
Frustrating... I mistakenly copied a link to my homepage at http://lyonart.wetpaint.com/ and saved it. A few minutes later I discovered my mistake, deleted the link through EasyEdit but am not able to save that or any other change as a result. An error dialogue box states "We are sorry, an error occurred. If this problem persists, please reload the page and try again."
I have, of course tried many times. I've tried different browsers with the same result. I even rebooted my machine - to no avail. Can anyone assist please?
