Custom URLS, eg "www.customURL.com" are working for me, however without the www in front, as in "customURL.com" they don't work. Is there a reason for this?
I use GoDaddy (the instructions for which are outdated, btw), which doesn't allow me to create a CNAME for *. Please help me figure this out! thanks D

I have had a URL redirect for the wiki I created for about 9 months now. It essentially acts just as an alias to the site, since I have set it up using a "URL Redirect" rather than a "CNAME" record. It is time to upgrade to a CNAME record, but I'm worried about an interruption in service while the new settings propagate through the network of DNSs. What steps should I take to minimize the impact on my users?

I'm about the add a custom URL using the techniques described here:
http://www.wetpaintcentral.com/page/Custom+URLs My wiki has a PageRank of 3, I think, because there are many links to its pages. When the URL of the site changes from tmswiki.wetpaint.com to tmswiki.org, will those links still work? I.e. if someone clicks on a link to http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/TMS+FAQs , will that link still work when the correct address is now http://tmswiki.org/page/TMS+FAQs ? Assuming that the Wetpaint software is clever enough to redirect the browser to the new address (I've been quite impressed by its cleverness with page renaming), what will happen the next time Google crawls the web? Will it disregard links to http://tmswiki.wetpaint.com/page/TMS+FAQs because the URL is now somehow redirected to http://tmswiki.org/page/TMS+FAQs . Google seems to react harshly to any sort of funny business like that. Will we lose a lot of PageRank as a result? I'm already expecting a large drop in PageRank because the domain name will be different.

I bought a custom URL and followed the directions on this page for Godaddy.com.
I changed it over 48 hours ago and it still hasn't changed the URL. What do I do?

I use GoDaddy, and I want to know. Can you have a subdomain and put it on one specific page of your wiki. What I'm trying to do is turning xboxpolis.com's E3 2009 Page to http://e3.xboxpolis.com/ instead of http://www.xboxpolis.com/page/E3+2009+Coverage
How can I do this, or is it possible?

I've purchased my own domain - changed the dns settings on my domain register and have listed my domain name with wetpaint but all i get is I will be notified by email in 48hours and the email never comes. And no changes are made. Which is very annoying as I've been trying to contact wetpaint about this but no luck so far. Also I want my new domain name to show up on my adwords account which the won't allow untill i can change my wetpaint url to my new domain name.
how do I contact wetpaint directly to find out what is going on?
