Q. How do I get my own Wetpaint site?

A. It’s easy to start your own Wetpaint site. Just go to Wetpaint and follow the three-step site creation process:

  1. Choose a name and URL (web address) for your Wetpaint site
  2. Pick a design from the selection of templates (Later, you can customize the masthead area with a logo or image if you want.)
  3. Create a Wetpaint account username and password (or sign in with an existing account).

    Sign Up - Step 3

All told, the setup process will take you about one minute. You can then start adding content, customize your profile page, and invite others to help you build and use the site.

Q. How many Wetpaint sites can I make?

A. You can make as many Wetpaint sites as you want. Wetpaint will keep an eye out for inactive sites and will email the originator if the site remains inactive for a period of six months. If no further activity occurs, Wetpaint will deactivate the site to free up the URL.

Q. When I try to register it says I'm ineligible!

A. If you are getting a message that says “Based on the information you have supplied, you are ineligible to create a Wetpaint account” then it means you entered a date of birth that would make you ineligible to join Wetpaint. This precaution helps to prevent children under the age of 13 from registering for Wetpaint. Children under 13 are not allowed to join Wetpaint due to the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) laws, which we must comply with. If you made a mistake entering your DOB, then try clearing your browser’s cookie files and try again.
