Q. Can I delete my account?
The Wetpaint interface does not currently provide a feature to delete an account. However, you can 'Cancel Membership' to any site that you have created or joined. Canceling membership does not purge your account information, but it does remove your profile from the site and unsubscribe you from email associated to the site.
One of the benefits of canceling membership is that you can undo it later if you change your mind. However, keep in mind that if you are the site creator (or moderator, administrator, etc.) and you cancel membership, when you rejoin the site you will only have registered user status. If you think you might come back, make sure there is a moderator or administrator on the site before you go! This also applies to private sites. If you are the only member of a private site and you cancel your membership, there will be no one left on the site to re-invite you. You will be locked out.
How to Cancel Membership

- Click on "My Profile" near the upper right corner of the site, and choose the link to your "Profile".
- Click on the "Cancel Membership" link on your profile page, as shown.
- If you have not recently signed in, you will be asked to type your password before confirming. Continue by clicking the "Cancel Membership" button, or choose "Return to your profile" to cancel.
