What is a CAPTCHA?
A CAPTCHA is a test that is used to help ensure that the user interacting with the web site is a human and not a computer. On Wetpaint, a CAPTCHA dialog window looks something like the image to the right.
Why use CAPTCHA?
The CAPTCHA dialog is shown to diminish spam contributions.
There are two ways to prevent it from appearing.

- Become a friend of a Moderator, Administrator, or the Creator of the site.
- Ask a Moderator to promote you to a Writer (only applies to sites using the "invitation required to edit" site permission setting). See the Permissions page for more details.

I created my own site and have recently had problems with the Captcha. When I try to save work, one always pops up, even though I am the administrator. I then fill out the Captcha, but then my work will never save correctly, if not save at all. Is there anything I can do about that?

I applied as a writer, sucessfully got a wetpaint account, Captcha still pops up when I edit everything? I am signed into both accounts.

Hi. I am having trouble on my new site. CAPTCHA keeps appearing and when I am done entering the info for it, it says it is done saving but the CAPTCHA doesn't go away. It won't even save the page!
