Make your members feel welcome

As the site creator, or administrator,you are your Wetpaint site's welcoming committee. Every newly registered user should receive a welcome message from you. Wetpaint has an automated welcome message that you can customize as the site creator or administrator. Learn how to use the Welcome Message Feature.

You can also modify the Site Greeting that appears at the top of the page for a new member when they come to the site.

Why welcome new members?

You may want to encourage your other moderators to greet new members too, as this will entice new users to return to the site. Too often, people register with a site on a whim and do nothing else in the community. If they are made to feel welcome and relevant, then they will have more reason to make themselves at home on your Wetpaint site and help to build an active community.
