To add a new feed, click on "Add news feed" in the upper right of the main News page.

News - Wetpaint Central

In the default view ("Add by searching"), you can add a keyword-based feed that will provide news items about a particular subject based on a search term:
  1. Enter a keyword or phrase in the Search Terms field (tip: If you're searching a term with multiple words that should appear in order, surround them with quotes for better results. Example: "James Bond")
  2. You can edit the name of the feed and and add a description of the feed to help your users understand what it's about
  3. Click "Add News Feed"

You can also add a feed from Twitter that will display tweets about a particular subject or by an individual Twitter user:

  1. Enter a keyword in the Topic field (tip: If you're searching a term with multiple words that should appear in order, surround them with quotes for better results. Example: "James Bond")
  2. Or enter the Twitter user name of the Twitter user you want to follow
  3. You can edit the name of the feed and and add a description of the feed to help your users understand what it's about
  4. Click "Add News Feed"

Or you can add news from a specific source by clicking on "Add by RSS":

  1. Paste in the RSS URL from the source you want to use (e.g. "http://rss.ew.com/web/ew/rss/americanidol/index.xml" ... look for the RSS logo [ or ] on your favorite sites)
  2. Provide a name for your feed (e.g. "Entertainment news from MSNBC.com") and add a description
  3. Click "Add News Feed"
