If your using Firefox this is the only way I can get it to work, if your using Internet Explorer you probably could try the same thing, but I'm not positive it will work.

1. Highlight the word you wish to link (don't link it yet), change it to the auto text color to start. After which unhighlight the word by clicking next to it.
2. Highlight the word again, but this time select the color that you wish to use (green, red, orange, etc.). Once again unhighlight.
3. For the third and last time highlight your word and add your link.

This method works for me everytime, if you try to do it all at once without ever unhighlighting it doesn't usually work.

The Easy Edit Button is on the top left hand corner of a page. If you still cannot find it, try updating your browser. Remember, Wetpaint no longer supports Internet Explorer 6. You will need to update your browser to Internet Explorer 7,8 or Firefox.

Frostar90, Once you added your text or designed your plug-in, copy the code from the code window on PagePlugins. Then go to your site and paste that code into Other Widgets of the Widget Tool in Easy Edit mode on your page or profile.

I am encountering the same problem. This is a major pain. Can wetpaint do anything about it?
