News Feeds

This new site section enables moderators to create or add feeds that display news items from external sources on their Wetpaint sites. Feeds can display content from around the web about a particular subject – "True Blood," "James Bond," "zombies," etc. – or can be tailored to come only from a particular source.

Users can add quick comments to any news item, and items with commenting activity are called out, so users can easily find hot topics and join the conversation. Read more about News.

Continued tuning of our Facebook Connect integration to support inviting Facebook friends to private sites.

Search Engine Optimization:
A set of SEO improvements designed to improve the Google ranking for Wetpaint sites:
  • Including site name in the Photo Gallery, Video Gallery, Discussions H1 tag and title tag
  • Links in droplets to count towards site’s page rank
  • Ability to edit the meta-description for a wiki page
  • Wiki-page-specific meta-descriptions in external search results
Miscellaneous Updates:

  • Ability to add title and description to YouTube videos added to content pages
  • Add meta descriptions to media detail pages
  • Enable adding tags in the Edit Video dialog immediately after adding a video
