ckh88 citizen journalism took off like a rocket in 2008 0 Jun 30 2009, 9:04 PM EDT by ckh88

As more and more every day folks began to realize that the alphabet soup corporate owned news networks were actually working to help elect Barack Obama to the White House, grassroots citizen journalism took off like a rocket and a world explosion of personal responsibility and activist spiritual awareness followed suit.

Today the leading edge citizen journalists, from stay at home publishing moms, to grad students, to seniors with astute brains, to expatriots living offshore, are all writing and researching incredible news stories that we never hear in the states - these folks are building news reporting sites that tell it like it is with no holds barred and provide complete supporting documentation. Youtube.com's submitted videos now lead the world in citizen supplied breaking news as literate and intelligent "people on the streets" ignore waiting for corporate owned news vans to arrive, and just video urgent breaking news themselves, posting it to the web before the corporate TV cameramen are even out of their vans on the scene.

This is the greatest use yet of the web for advocating global democracy, (not American corporate fascism) and will revoutionize the "news business" forever. The new norm is telling the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth fom people on the street to each other - using the newest tools of handheld technonolgy - and it trumps the hell out of telling whatever will guarantee an ad revenue driven spike in TV viewership, such as nude butt shots of Paris Hilton or who Brittany Spears is dating being routinely sold to the American public as news.
