Interested in recruiting new wiki members and welcoming those who join? Now you can with the new member communications area. Available to each site creator or administrator, the member communications area has two new features.
The first, called the ‘Site Greeting’ allows you to configure a custom greeting that displays on any content page when a user first arrives on your site. It’s a great way to let everyone know the purpose of your site and to entice them to join.
The second, called the ‘New Member Message’, allows you set-up a private message that gets sent automatically to new members when they sign up. Use the new member message to welcome new members and let them know how they can get started contributing to your wiki. It’s a great way to on-board them into your wiki communities and, after set-up, it’s all automatic!
