08/25/08 - release
The 8/25/08 release is all about email.
You'll notice that emails from your site now look a lot more like your site. They also now include avatars of site members and greater description in the subject lines. When you send invitations from your site, more information about your site is included in the email, to better entice your friends to join.
There are still a few emails from Wetpaint that don't yet reflect the colors from the site, namely the Weekly Digest, but all the alert-type emails that notify you of changes to your site, new messages, compliments, friend requests, etc have been redesigned with this release.
Additionally, we've done some behind-the-scenes work to make sure all emails from your site make it into site members' inboxes. Email is crucial in keeping all your members informed and returning to the site, so we are working hard to make sure that your site emails are received as they should be.
Note: Since member avatars now appear in emails, it's more important than ever that your site members upload an avatar. Send them a message and encourage them not to be anonymous!

guys, you really need to fast track relative local time zone adjustments in your pages. Think world, not EST. It really should be easy to display local time for all posted items.

Per the update above we wanted the look and feel of the emails to mirror your sites more closely. We also included additional data in them like avatars and member data so you can get a better sense for the contents of the message without having to click through to the site. Please let us know what you think about these changes. We appreciate your feedback!

In the site EoHT.info, I went to change the page "Human thermodynamic pioneers" to "Pioneers" and went to print out the the "what links here" page (which had 19 links) so that I could go and fix all the links after the change. The what links here page, however, is not working any more? It simply repeats the title of the page over and over again for each link. Example shown here for links to the page "heat":

Whenever someone sends me a message, compliment, starts a thread, etc, the email that notifies me of it comes like an hour after it happened.
