Well, Wetpaint has released the latest update, and it seems to be the discussion forum categories and Twitter updates in the "News" section. Moderators and Admins are now enabled to add categories to the discussion forum, instead of having many pages with support answers. Users can add a thread to any page, and they can also pick a category, such as "General Discussion," or a custom made one, such as "Wetpaint Support." The Discussions module has also been added to the discussions page.
Along with all of the new additions, the "News" section of your site now takes any Tweets about a user. This can be added easily when adding a News feed.

Different people respond to it differently. On Bumblepool (which I'm a Mod on as Cloverpuddle) we're not even using the categories. For other sites categories may be the greatest thing ever.
