In this release we've overhauled the Photo Galleries. We added some new features and considered your feedback from our last photo gallery release. Highlights include:

  • Ability to add a slideshow of photos to any wiki page - check out the fine example from Jamesbondwiki.com
  • Ability to upload multiple photos at once
  • Discussion threads for individual photos
  • Option to view photos at their original size
  • Option to upload a photo to a page but not include in the Photo Gallery

We have also done quite a bit of work on the Invitation process. The biggest impact to current members will be the removal of the security delay -- so invitations you send will be delivered within 10 minutes. In addition to eliminating the delay we've done the following:

  • Invitations can be sent anonymously - you don't have to be a current member or logged in to send invitations
  • When you invite your friends to join you on the wiki (when you’re signed in), they’ll see you waiting to be 'friended' when they accept the invite.
  • Private wikis are really private – only moderators and up can send invitations

Finally, we have added redirects to renamed pages. So when you rename a page, we redirect existing links to the old name to the new page.
