03/27/07 - release
Our late March release included a new feature we’re really excited about and one that we’ve had lots of requests for – person-to-person messaging.
Now each site has a message inbox for each user where you can receive private messages from others. To send a message to another user simply click on their username and then select ‘send message.’ Additionally, moderators and above can send ‘broadcast-style’ messages to every user on their site - simply type 'All Registered Users' in the "To:" line. Check out a sample message from the creator of the James Bond Wiki below.
We also increased the per attachment storage limit on each site from 500k to 1meg.
You will receive email notification of new messages as they appear in your inbox. Please give us your feedback. We'll work to improve this functionality over the next release or two.

jeremy, sorry for my comment! but, alas - it is true you doubled the size of every attachment - but the total space is always 10 MB. and - as you know - two days ago a big internet company announced an "unlimited space" for users. So, again, when we could have more than 10MB? thanks for the email facility: it is exactly what i would like to have.

Love the messaging options.
Like the additional attachment size limit. Dislike the community links in the right bottom corner. ------------------------------ Love, Love, Love how the wetpaint admin/design team continues to brainstorm ideas for improvements, extra service options, and take the time to ask your users for their opinions! |
