Release highlights for February include some great new features to make your Wetpaint site more social and fun!
Friends: you spoke up; we listened. Now it’s time to make some friends. Each Wetpaint site memberwetpaint can now easily send a friend request to another member. Making friends with other members is a great way to keep the collaboration on your wiki rolling; they’re also a great way to stay in touch. You can keep abreast of your friends’ activities on your personal friends’ page linked from your profile. All public actions (no, private messages aren’t shared) are listed in the friend activity feed. Not to worry, you can opt out of sharing your activities in your site preferences. Friend requests can be approved or ignored with a single click. So, get out there and start making some friends! Learn more about the Friends feature
Profile templates: site creators and administrators can now set-up custom member profile templates. Having a simple template to follow is a great way to get new site members started. Profile templates also help members know what they have in common with other site members. Located within the ‘Communications’ tab in your site’s settings section, the member profile template can be customized to your heart’s content. Want to ask each member what their favorite movie is? Drop it in the template. Curious about their home town? You can add that too. Each site comes with a standard profile template that is imported when EasyEdit is first clicked. Pages without tags: In order to improve your site’s search engine ranking we created a new report that shows the pages on your site that lack keyword tags. Use this page to easily locate the offending pages and start adding some tags. Tags help pages get discovered by search engines like Google. Have too many pages to tackle on your own?
Have any future enhancements to make your wetpaint experience even better? Talk to us on the suggestions page.
Try adding a To-Do to each page and get another site member to help!
