Hello, my name is Lynette, the Creator - Moderator and Administror of Gypsyart.wetpaint.com / Gypsyart / Gypsyartstories and Romany Artists. BIO To tell you a bit about me isn’t going to be easy. I have ventured many different paths in my life however I will do my best. I am a middle age woman with four biological children; I have fostered about 20 teenagers to which six foster children are still in complete contact. I have 16 biological grandchildren and 5 foster grandchildren; I am also I looking forward to 2 biological great grandchildren which are due in late 2011. I grew up amongst racism; as a child I faced racism not only from society but a step mother to, however I was lead to believe she was my biological mother; left wondering why she treated me differently from my brothers and sisters. I am a daddy’s girl, he taught me high standards and strong family morals, most of all how to survive anything life threw at me. ------------------------------------------------ From the age of 5 I raised my siblings’. When my father was forced to leave I lived in a house of prostitution. I left home at 15 with my new born daughter and went to London to live with my fiancee. 6 weeks later I returned to Cardiff only to discover that my step mother had moved so I would never be able to find my siblings’ again. Within 4 weeks and without my father’s consent and knowledge, my step mother arranged my marriage to a man I hardly new. I had my first child at the age of 15 years old followed by an arranged marriage at 16 in 1978. Aged 18 I had twin boys, then aged 26 I had my youngest son. My first marriage was violent and abusive which left me disabled. I suffered continuous gang rapes – beatings and mental abuse. I finally divorced him in 1992.
