We felt that money should go further than just supporting a family and putting a roof over our heads. There is more that could be done with a little bit of money... And skills should go further than just earning an income. Skills would be valued much more if they are used with greater intent than just to create an income. ...And so with very limited money and very few skills, we bonded together for the purpose of respecting self, culture and the environment. This is our wiki... You know the old saying: "Give a man a fish, and he will eat for a day. Teach a man how to fish, and he will eat for a lifetime." In a woman's world, the saying goes like this: "If you give a woman a fish, she will feed her family first, and might possibly go hungry. If you teach a woman how to fish, she will feed her family until outside forces take away her fishing rights, or pollute the lake. If you help a woman buy the lake, she will feed her family, keep the lake environmentally clean, and still have something to pass on to the future generations."
