-5 Years on Wetpaint-

Hello,(if you are unable to read the post, click on the title) Today marks half a decade since I first joined Wetpaint =) Haven't been doing much at all here for the last couple years however it still marks an important day. 5 Years ago on this day gamingnews.wetpaint.com was created which has today progressed into EMGN - Electronics, Movies and Gaming Network (EMGN.com), an amazing achievement that is 40K visitors away from reaching our first million. I've spent many hours of hard work on EMGN throughout the years (and money! The 'EMGN.com' domain cost $500 via GoDaddy Auctions!) and we're finally getting off our feet. All thanks to Wetpaint, without you EMGN wouldn't exist. Sad to see the changes Wetpaint has gone by leaving its roots completely =( Anyway, join the party over at EMGN - http://emgn.com/4301/emgn-birthday-contest-win-win-win-100s-of-prizes-to-be-given-away/ to win 100's of cool prizes =D And vote for 'YourEMGN' on the Wetpaint Golden Paint can Awards! http://goldenpaintcanawards.wetpaint.com/page/Gaming+Gurus+2011 For fans of Gamingnews, I expect the wiki to make a full re-designed return in December coinciding with EMGN.com's professional re-design. -Madusha |

Congratulations my friend of a long time. It is great to see you make this milestone. My first wiki is still alive after being created in July of 2007. Time has brought many changes to Wetpaint, some good and some bad. Active members, who were known world wide, have gone along the wayside only to be replaced by others. Alexberg, Jason_wetpaint, Seneeya, tawnywing, DerSpanier, Paintchips Temlynwriting and a host of others not mentioned, that made using Wetpaint much easier for the community. For those that read this thread, I invite you to read about the history of Wetpaint from the early days. And how EMGN (gamingnews.wetpaint.com) and Madusha found themselves as the pioneers in that history. Madusha went from a user, to a moderator at WPC, to a member of the Superpainters (a group that guided Wetpaint into the future) and finally to an old-timer of Wetpaint. Here is a history of Wetpaint, you may enjoy reading. http://splats2.wetpaint.com/page/August+2011+Newsletter |

You miss it, the second day of officially being invited by -- oh, I already forgot his name -- he leaves. I never even got to experience it, I just wish I could have Googled for Wetpaint earlier than I did!
