I had 3 xbox 360's die on me via the ring off death , they send me a new improved one and so far it works fine. The internals off the new machine is completely different as well. A new heatsink at the front and the cpu heatsink has been modified as well. The overall temp off the machine seems a lot cooler as well. My previous xbox360's reported temps off 60degrees celcius and beyond but this new one reports temps off 45 to 50 degrees celcius so far after 3 hours off non stop gaming.
